Safeguarding children is taken very seriously at Highams Park School. If you are concerned about a student’s welfare and wish to talk to a member of staff, please don’t hesitate to contact them at school on the main school phone number. If you are unsure who to speak to ask for Mr James Lampshire (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the school.

All school staff are subject to enhanced criminal record checks by the Disclosure and Barring Sevice before they commence work in the school. All staff receive regular updated training in Safeguarding procedures and are required to read and implement "Keeping Children Safe in Education" the government's key Safeguarding guidance document.

Key Highams Park Safeguarding documents can be found in the 'Policies' section of the website.

Useful information for parents and students on wide-ranging issues related to keeping children safe can be found on Firefly.
