uk space agencyHighams Park school is taking part in The Rocket Science project with the UK Space Agency.

A group of year 8 students have been working on space biology by growing rocket plants that have been aboard the International Space Station as part of British ESA astronaut Tim Peake‚Äôs six-month Principia mission.

The plants are grown alongside rocket plants that have not left Earth in a blind study (the students do not know which of the rocket seeds were aboard the ISS). The students study the seedlings at several stages of growth, recording and processing data as they go along. Here are some of the pupils with the seedlings after three weeks of gardening.
