Outstanding Post-16 Outcomes
The Department for Education released their validated KS5 outcomes yesterday for the 2024/25 exam series, and Highams Park School is delighted to share some exceptional news. We are the only school in Waltham Forest to achieve above‑average progress in both academic and vocational qualifications.
At A level, our students achieved a progress score of +0.27, placing us within the top 13% of schools nationally. For vocational qualifications, our progress score of +0.48 positions us well within the top 10%. This is particularly impressive when compared with the national average progress score of -0.03.
Our success extends further. Outcomes for English and Maths resits were significantly above national averages, with +1.14 in English (compared with +0.17 nationally) and +1.0 in Maths (compared with +0.05 nationally). These results demonstrate that at Highams Park Sixth Form, students—regardless of their chosen pathway—make outstanding progress.
This performance reinforces our status as an Outstanding Sixth Form as graded by OFSTED in May 2024, and us proudly holding an ALPs Gold Award for Progress for 2024 and 2025.
