Super Curriculum
As part of a job application or the university application process, every applicant must write a personal statement. It's a chance for you to articulate why you'd like to study a particular course or subject, or why you feel you would be suitable for a job, and what skills and experience you possess that show your passion for your chosen field. You want to make sure that your personal statement stands out from the crowd, and the best way to demonstrate your enthusiasm and passion for your subject is by taking part in super curriculum activities.
Throughout school you will have the opportunity to, mentor younger students, be part of a variety of clubs and societies, plus much more….However, you should also be undertaking your own super curriculum activities to really make an impression. You can even start doing this as early as year 7!
Activities could include reading around your subject, listening to podcasts, or attending open lectures.
Start recording everything you are doing, so you don't forget - you'll need it for your CV and your personal statement.
