Outstanding Success at National Mock Bar Law Trial Final

Highams Park School is proud to announce an exceptional achievement in this year’s Bar Mock Trial Competition. On 21st March 2026, our students competed in the National Final held at the prestigious Royal Courts of Justice, securing an impressive 8th place finish overall.
This accomplishment is particularly remarkable given the scale and competitiveness of the event. The journey began with 232 schools from across the country, with Highams Park emerging as winners of the London Regional Final in November 2025. Reaching the national stage was already a significant milestone, and finishing in the top ten nationally is a testament to the dedication, talent, and resilience of our students.
Throughout the competition, the team demonstrated clear progress and growth. Compared to their first round performances, students showed notable improvement in their advocacy skills, delivering arguments with increasing clarity, confidence, and precision in both cases they presented.
There were several standout moments that made the day especially memorable. The school was awarded the distinction of having the highest scoring prosecution barristers in one of the cases—an outstanding accolade that highlights the team’s exceptional preparation and skill. Individual performances were equally impressive. Ella achieved a perfect score of 10/10 for her cross-examination and closing speech, showcasing remarkable composure and persuasive ability. Nusaybah also earned a perfect 10/10 for her witness statement, reflecting both her deep understanding of the case and her excellent delivery.
This success represents a collective effort, and every student involved should be immensely proud of their contribution in bringing us this fantastic result. All of the students involved have shown such dedication during the six month process, and have practised with such focused determination. Their hard work, teamwork, and commitment have brought great credit to the school. Congratulations to all participants on this outstanding achievement.
