Recent Literary Award Winners

This initiative has been created to give English teachers the opportunity to recognise outstanding contributions from students and to celebrate excellent work ethic, creativity, curiosity, and wider engagement with the subject. 

Since June, there have been many nominees, each of whom received a certificate of recognition, an email home, and positive reward points. 

Our winners for recent months were as follows: 

May 2026: Ella Kekilli, year 7: for being a wonderfully inquisitive student whose enthusiasm for English is infectious!

June 2026: Asya Murugesu, year 8: for fantastic commitment to her learning and exceptional written work.

July 2026: Ayla Nakiyimba, year 10: for her phenomenal spoken language presentation

All winners received prizes, certificates and rewards points (which will be added in September so they are still of benefit to the students.) 

All students are encouraged to demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, curiosity, and independence in their English lessons in order to be nominated by their English teacher. We look forward to celebrating more fantastic achievements in the next academic year.
