School Rebuilding Project Update - Sir Iain Duncan Smith Visit

The school welcomed a special visit on Friday 1st May, when local MP Sir Iain Duncan Smith visited to view progress on the school building project.
The visit brought together representatives from B+K (the construction company), the Department for Education (DfE), and Highams Park School. Sir Iain was given a guided tour of the site, where he was able to see first hand the significant progress being made on the build.
Sir Iain was pleased to see that construction is advancing well and that the project remains on schedule for the school’s planned opening in September 2027.
During the visit, time was also spent in the newly opened memorial garden.
It was encouraging to see students already using this space as a calm and reflective area, and positive feedback was shared on how thoughtfully it has been designed and integrated into the school environment.
We are grateful to all involved for their continued work and support as the project moves forward.
