Student Spotlight - Regan Anderson

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievement of Regan Anderson, who was selected to play for Millwall's First Team in their Carabao Cup match against Newcastle United on Tuesday 8th September. 

To be chosen to represent a Championship club at first-team level at the age of 15 years old is a fantastic accomplishment and reflects the dedication, hard work, and talent that he has shown throughout his football journey.  

What makes this achievement even more commendable is his commitment to his education. Despite having such an important fixture, he attended school before the match, demonstrating excellent maturity, professionalism, and dedication to his studies alongside his sporting commitments. 

The match finished with a 1-0 victory for Newcastle United, with the game's only goal scored by Joe Willock. This result provided an interesting connection to our school community, as Joe Willock is a former Highams Park School student who has gone on to enjoy a successful professional football career at the highest level. Seeing both a former and current Highams Park student involved in the same high-profile fixture is something the whole school community can be proud of. 

Everyone at Highams Park School congratulates Regan on this outstanding achievement. We look forward to following his progress and wish him every success as he continues to develop both on the pitch and in the classroom.
