Waltham Forest Borough Athletics Championships Success

Highams Park School recently celebrated outstanding success at the Waltham Forest Borough Athletics Championships. We took a team of 52 students from Years 7–10 to compete against 12 other schools from across the borough, and the day was a tremendous success. Students worked exceptionally hard in the lead-up to the event, regularly attending Wednesday training sessions and competing in Tuesday and Thursday league meets to practise and develop their events.

Their dedication and commitment paid off, with Highams Park students winning an impressive 26 medals across a range of track and field events. Every athlete represented the school with pride, demonstrating excellent determination and resilience throughout the competition. All students were a credit to the school, displaying impeccable behaviour and outstanding effort throughout the entire day. We are incredibly proud of all those who took part and contributed to such a successful championship, showcasing both their athletic ability and the values of Highams Park School.

Final confirmation of the team standings and overall positions for each year group will be shared with students and families soon. Regardless of the final results, every member of the squad played an important role in the success of the team, and we look forward to celebrating these achievements further when the official standings are announced.
