Year 12 Somerset Residential

Year 12 geographers recently enjoyed a fantastic four day residential trip to Somerset in the beautiful southwest of England. From 5th to 8th May, students explored a variety of coastal locations, including Minehead and Porlock Bay, gathering a wide range of data to support their Non-Examined Assessment (NEA).

Students developed a wide range of key geographical skills, including data collection and analysis, communication, time management, statistical testing, and the use of GIS. They also strengthened their teamwork skills, working collaboratively in the field to investigate real-world geographical issues.

Each busy and productive day ended on a high note, with a very competitive games of rounders on the field.

We were incredibly proud of all the students, who behaved impeccably throughout the trip and showed great enthusiasm for their learning. Miss Mullboccas and I would like to extend a huge thank you to them for making the residential such a success.
