National Apprenticeship Week

We are pleased to share that National Apprenticeship Week, which ran from Monday 9th to Sunday 15th February, has been a great success across the school. Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to explore the fantastic range of pathways apprenticeships offer and to reflect on how these routes might support their future ambitions.

During form time, tutors guided students through a variety of engaging activities, including:

  • Interactive quizzes and games designed to build understanding of what apprenticeships involve.
  • Industry logo challenges, where students identified companies and sectors that offer apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Apprenticeship stories and case studies, helping students hear real experiences and see how different routes can lead to meaningful careers.
  • Research activities, giving students time to explore where apprenticeships can be found and what different roles require.

These sessions encouraged students to think carefully about the skills and qualifications needed for different levels of apprenticeship and to consider how these might align with their own strengths and interests. Staff have been really impressed with the thoughtful discussions taking place and the curiosity shown by students throughout the week.

Thank you for your continued support in helping our students explore the full range of future pathways available to them. If your child would like further guidance, or if you would like to know more about apprenticeships, please feel free to contact the Careers Team.
